We believe that a local church is a fellowship of believers around the person of Jesus Christ, observing His ordinances, exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word. Its officers are pastors, elders, and deacons whose qualifications are clearly defined in Scripture. We hold that the local church has absolute right to self-government, to property, in all matters pertaining to fellowship with other churches, membership, government, discipline, and missionary giving.
